The Efton Chism New England The Catch t-shirt commemorates a game-winning, one-handed touchdown catch by New England Patriots wide receiver Efton Chism III. The phrase refers to the grab that gave New England a late 29-26 win over the Buffalo Bills.

Where “The Catch” came from

The moment happened on October 4, 2026, at Highmark Stadium. The Patriots were trailing late in the fourth quarter with under two minutes left when quarterback Drake Maye rolled right and threw toward the end zone.

Chism leaped through heavy coverage and secured the ball with his right hand for a 23-yard touchdown reception. The score put New England ahead 29-26 and turned the second-year undrafted player into a national story.

Former Patriots receiver Julian Edelman said a game-winning grab like Chism’s can potentially “start someone’s career.” That single-handed finish became the defining play behind Efton Chism’s “The Catch.”
